The life of an actor looks pretty glamorous and enchanting to their fans and lovers. Sushant Singh Rajput was an excellent actor, and he is one of the rising superstars of Bollywood. He is also a perfect human being with the giver’s heart and is loved by his fans and competitors.

Sushant did not have any filmy background, and he started his career from scratch by acting in television serials. A few years, he is one of the most popular Bollywood actors after the super success of former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s biopic M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story.

Early Life and Education

Sushant Singh Rajput was born on 21st January 1986 in Patna, Bihar. He has three sister siblings, and one of them is a State level women cricketer. After his mother died in 2002, the family moved from Patna to Delhi.

Sushant Singh Rajput was alumina of St. Karen’s High School in Patna and later attended Kulachi Hansraj Model School in New Delhi. The actor has a particular interest in physics, and he won the National Olympiad Award for the subject. Sushant Singh Rajput appeared for DCE Entrance Exam and stood seventh in the test. Later he got admission to Delhi College of Engineering for B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) but left the college after three years to pursue his acting career.

After dropping out of college, Sushant joined Shaimak Davar’s dance classes. In 2005 he was in the group of the background dancer who performed in the 51st Filmfare Awards. In 2006 because of his dancing skills, Sushant got selected in a dance group and went to Australia to perform in the opening ceremony of the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

Television Career

To pursue his acting career, Sushant Singh Rajput moved to Mumbai and joined the Nadira Babbar’s theatre group. During his theatre days, he also featured in a few Tv advertisements. Sushant Singh Rajput got his first break in the television with the TV serial Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil in 2008. The serial was a home production of Balaji Telefilms. Although Sushant’s role in the television serial is small, his role became very popular and was very appreciated for his acting skills.

Later in 2009, Sushant Singh Rajput was offered a lead role in the TV serial Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV. In the role of Manav, a mature and serious person who works hard to support his family, his popularity increases hugely. He receives many awards for this role, becoming one of the top television stars. Sushant Singh Rajput also participated in reality shows like Zara Nachke Dhikha 2 and Jalak Dikhhla Jaa 4, and he was runner-up in one of the shows. In 2011 he quit the television industry to work in Bollywood.

Bollywood Career

Sushant started his Bollywood career with Kai Po Che’s movie, based on Chetan Bhagat’s famous novel 3 Mistakes of My Life. He was selected to play one of 3 leads, and the film proved to be a commercial success and critically appreciated. After the success of his first film, Sushant Singh Rajput started receiving reasonable movie offers. In the next few years, he worked in films like Shuddh Desi Romance, PK, and mystery thriller Detective Byomkesh Bakshy.

The most significant success of his filmy career was the lead role in the movie M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. The film was a commercial success and became one of the highest-grossing movies of 2016 and earned Sushant Singh Rajput nomination for the Best Actor in Filmfare Awards 2016.

In the next few years, he acted in the movies like Raabta with Kriti Sanon, Kedarnath with Sara Ali Khan, Sonchiriya with Bhumi Pednekar, and Chhichhore with Sharadha Kapoor. Only Chhichhore becomes a big hit in all of these movies, but Sushant Singh Rajput’s popularity increases.

Interest and Charity

The people close to Sushant Singh Rajput said that he was a knowledgeable person who loved to read. He had a personal interest in Physics and astronomy. Looking at the stars through his telescope was his passion. He is so interested in space and astronomy that in 2018 he bought a piece of land on the moon, making him the selected few persons on the earth who had landed on the moon.


The actor was also involved with many NGOs and institutions for the public awareness campaign. He was also singed for the Government’s women campaign of the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP). Sushant Singh Rajput was also involved with the NGO called Sushant4Education, which aims to help India’s young students.

Personal Life

Sushant Singh Rajput was in a known relationship with Ankita Lokhande, his co-star in the TV serial Pavitra Rishta. They were in a relationship for six years and parted ways. Recently, the media sources mentioned that Sushant Singh Rajput was in a live-in relationship with Rhea Chakraborty just before he died.

Death

On 14th June 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput hanged himself in his Bandra residence and committed suicide for unknown reasons. As per the media reports, Sushant Singh Rajput has been suffering from depression for the last few months, although the reason behind his condition is still a mystery to his family and friends.

His career has just taken off with the hit and grossing movies like Kedarnath and Chhichore in 2019. The actor’s death raised questions about unfair means and attitudes in the Film Industry through nepotism. The actor was well off, and money was not the reason behind suicide. Despite having an enjoyable and successful life, it was difficult for Sushant’s family and fans to grasp his death.
